Privacy Policy

Effective Date: June 6, 2026

1. Introduction

Traid is operated by Traid Inc., a Delaware corporation ("we," "our," or "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you visit our website traid.me (the "Site") and use our services.

By accessing or using the Site, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

2. Information We Collect

Account information. Name, email address, and avatar. Authentication is passwordless (one-time email sign-in link). We do not collect or store passwords.

Content you submit. Listings, assistant configurations, system prompts, mini-app code, messages, reviews, and other materials you create or upload.

Payment information. Handled by Stripe. We do not store full payment card numbers; we receive a Stripe customer reference and transaction metadata sufficient to credit your account.

Usage information. Pages viewed, requests made, IP address, browser type, device information, and similar telemetry generated by your interaction with the Site.

Cookies and similar technologies. Used to keep you signed in and to operate the Site.

Optional location data. Collected only when you opt into a feature that uses location, such as a geolocation-enabled listing.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To operate and maintain Traid.
  • To send your assistant prompts to the configured third-party LLM provider so the assistant can generate a response.
  • To prevent fraud and abuse.
  • To send transactional emails (sign-in links, account notifications, purchase confirmations).
  • To comply with legal obligations.

We do not send marketing emails unless you opt in.

4. Who We Share Your Information With

We do not sell your personal information. We share limited information with the following service providers ("sub-processors") only as needed to operate the Site:

  • Vercel — web hosting and error/observability analytics. Receives request metadata and error traces in the normal course of serving the Site.
  • Stripe — payment processing for Credit purchases.
  • Amazon Web Services (AWS) — media storage (S3) and outbound transactional email (sign-in links, account notifications).
  • The configured large language model provider — receives the prompts, system prompts, context, and chat input needed to generate assistant responses.
  • Legal authorities, when required by law or to protect the rights and safety of Traid and its users.

We do not currently use any third-party advertising, marketing analytics, or behavioral-tracking services.

5. Guest Checkout Accounts

If you complete a Stripe purchase without an existing account, we create an account for you under the email address you provided so we can apply the purchased Credits to it. You can claim, manage, or delete this account at any time. See Section 10 (Your Rights) for how to do so.

6. AI Assistant Interactions

When you chat with an assistant, your messages, the assistant's system prompt, and any context the assistant uses are transmitted to the third-party LLM provider as needed to generate a response. The provider's handling of that data is governed by the provider's own terms.

Creators of assistants can see usage metrics for their assistants — for example, who used the assistant and the volume of tokens consumed — but they do not see the content of conversations between users and the assistant.

7. Mini-Apps

Mini-apps are user-generated executable code that runs inside an assistant conversation with your explicit permission. The author of a mini-app does not directly receive your chat content. Traid mediates execution: the mini-app's code runs against the platform, and the results are surfaced back to your conversation.

8. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies to keep you signed in and to operate basic Site functionality. You can control cookie preferences in your browser settings; doing so may affect Site functionality.

9. Data Retention

  • Account data. Kept while your account is active. When you delete your account, your data is removed immediately and permanently from our live systems. There is no recovery period and no "undo." Residual copies may persist briefly in routine cloud backups (AWS) until those backups age out. We do not actively read from or restore those backups except to recover from a system failure.
  • Content you submitted. Listings, assistants, mini-apps, messages, and similar content are removed immediately with your account.
  • Financial records. Retained as required by law (typically up to 7 years). Records linked to your account may also persist in our payment processor's (Stripe) systems and in our own tax and audit records after your account is deleted.
  • Moderation evidence. Kept as long as needed to enforce these Terms or comply with applicable law.

10. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access, correct, or delete your data.
  • Opt out of any marketing communications.
  • Restrict or object to certain processing of your data.
  • Submit requests by emailing support@traid.me (see Section 15).

California (CCPA/CPRA). California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect about them, the right to request deletion, and the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell personal information. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@traid.me.

EU / UK (GDPR / UK GDPR). Our legal bases for processing your information are: performance of our contract with you (to operate the Site), our legitimate interests (for fraud prevention and Site security), and your consent (for marketing communications and other opt-in features). You have the right to access, correct, delete, export, and restrict processing of your personal information, and the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. Some of our sub-processors operate outside the EU and UK, primarily in the United States. For those transfers, we rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs), or an equivalent mechanism (such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum where applicable), to safeguard your personal information.

11. Children

Traid is intended for users 13 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@traid.me and we will delete it.

12. Security & Breach Notification

We implement reasonable, industry-standard security measures to protect your information. Notably, authentication is passwordless, so we do not store passwords — this removes one of the most common breach vectors. No online system is perfectly secure.

If a security breach materially affects your personal information, we will notify affected users without undue delay and in any event within the timeframes required by applicable law. For personal information of EU or UK residents subject to GDPR, we will notify the relevant supervisory authority within 72 hours of becoming aware of the breach where required.

13. Third-Party Links

The Site may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by reasonable notice — for example, by email or an in-product banner — and the Effective Date above will be updated.
