Start from a template

July 29, 2026

Create an assistant that arrives with notes, agents, and a welcome screen already set up for a specific job, then swap its sample material for your own. Templates are listed on Create an assistant.

What a template includes

A template comes with memory notes holding sample material, agents already set up, a welcome message, and suggested prompts, so you can chat with it immediately. Templates are usually split into one agent that answers questions and one that builds apps.

Once created, it is an ordinary assistant. Every part of it, including notes, agents, name, and settings, can be edited, and the template is not referenced again afterwards.

1

Create the assistant

Select a template from Create an assistant and confirm. The assistant is created under your account and appears in Your assistants.

2

Replace the sample notes

Open the assistant, choose Edit, and find the template's sample material in the notes under Memory. Edit those notes to hold your own material, or delete them and add your own with Add Memory, then press Save.

Do not skip this

Sample content left in place appears in answers and in generated apps alongside your own material. Adding notes is covered in Add memory to an assistant.

3

Adjust the agents

Review the agents in the sidebar, where you can rename them, edit their instructions, add more, or delete the ones you do not use. See Add and configure agents.

4

Set the name, privacy, and price

Open Settings to change the name and description, which arrive as the template's own, along with the avatar, privacy, AI model, and mini-app save price.

Starting blank instead

Choose a blank assistant on the create page to name it, describe it, set a welcome message, and choose a privacy setting yourself. That route is walked through in Make an assistant.
